Custom Plant Extracts in Cosmetics

The cosmetic industry has a long history and technological advancements have made them available to the masses. The current trend is to return to using more natural and sustainable ingredients. Creative Biolabs is an internationally operating laboratory to provides a series of services for cosmetic products.

Plant Extracts in Cosmetic Products

In cosmetic products, plant ingredients can provide unique cosmetic and therapeutic properties that make your formulations more effective and avoid the potential hazards of chemically synthesized ingredients. By using botanical extracts wisely, you can optimize product efficacy and enhance the luxury of your brand.

In general, the main components extracted from plants include alkaloids, glycosides, flavonoids, organic acids, polysaccharides, volatile oils, etc. Each ingredient has its own specific functional role. According to the different needs of customers for product applications, we can provide professional customized services to achieve differentiated production of products. Through our unique extraction, isolation, and purification techniques, a wide variety of high-purity compounds with proven biological activity can be obtained.

Microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) Technology

Microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) technology is the process of separating analytes by using microwave energy to heat a solvent in contact with the sample. Mass transfer of target compounds from the sample matrix can be accelerated by elevated temperature in a closed vessel. The process should only take about 15-30 minutes. Specifically in plant cells, the water in plant cells can be used as the target of microwave heating. When the water is heated and evaporated due to the microwave effect, it will promote the expansion of plant cells and cause the rupture of the cell wall, which eventually leads to the leaching of active substances from the ruptured cells. to the surrounding solvent. Compared to traditional extraction techniques, this technique can extract multiple samples simultaneously to increase sample throughput and improve analyte recovery and reproducibility.
