Packaging Stability Test Service
Creative Biolabs is an internationally operating testing laboratory that provides a series of stability analysis services for cosmetic products. Our comprehensive testing capabilities meet the international regulatory requirements for cosmetic products. Now we provide the novel packaging stability testing service.
The Introduction of Cosmetic Packaging Stability
During the production and transportation of cosmetics, packaging and the external environment can directly affect the stability of the finished product.
For example, the lack of airtightness of cosmetic packaging may lead to the oxidation or volatilization of the product. Cosmetic ingredients may also chemically react with packaging materials or even be absorbed into the materials. Therefore, the packaging stability test of cosmetic products is indispensable for mass production and transportation, which can avoid possible product quality problems and economic losses to the greatest extent. In our test system, product packaging is tested by filling the product into the final packaging and subjecting it to different environmental conditions, and further tests are carried out to evaluate the packaging function of the product type. In addition, during the test, a control group should be set up to check for any changes in appearance, smell, texture, viscosity, weight, and pH.
- Inert Glass Test
As an inert material, glass will not react with cosmetics in any way. The physical stability of the product can be tested by placing the sample in an inert glass jar and subjecting it to different environmental conditions. In addition, it can be determined whether the source of the cosmetic product's failure is the formula or the packaging.
- Weight Loss Test
Weight loss test is one of the most important tests to determine evaporation. Generally, the weight loss of cosmetic products should be less than 1% per month at room temperature or 45°C.
- Leaking Test
Test packaged products in various directions to avoid leakage of cosmetic products during transportation.
Various Conditions Affect the Final Packaging
- The bottle cap is loose and leaking
- Label peeling/flaking
- Container corrosion/stress cracking
- Dip tube expansion
- Insufficient packaging barrier properties
Advantages of Packaging Stability Test
